Lake Jasna is one of the most popular Slovenian lakes and tourist spots in Kranjska Gora. Before starting the first turns of the road to Vršič, stop for a short break at Jasna Lake. It consists of two interconnected artificial lakes at the confluence of the Velika and Mala Pišnica streams, which cover an area of 2.2 hectares.
Visiting Slovenian lakes and Lake Jasna is suitable at any time of the year. In summer, Jasna Lake is perfect for cooling off on hot summer days, while in winter the lake will enchant you with its fairy-tale beauty. Lake Jasna is one of the most accessible Slovenian lakes. You can reach Jasna Lake by foot. From the centre of Kranjska Gora, there is a pleasant walking path that takes just a few minutes. For those who visit the lake by car, there are two car parks near the lake, from where it is only a few steps to the shore of the lake.
Bathers and other visitors can enjoy the piers and walking paths around Jasna Lake. At the second lake, you will notice a lookout tower that you can climb to get a higher perspective of the emerald green lake. You can also cool off with a refreshing drink or ice cream by the lake and enjoy the view of the beautiful Julian Alps in the background. In the evenings, you can listen to musical performances with the beautiful natural scenery of Razor and Prisank. You can walk around Jasna on the well-maintained paths, and you can also enjoy fishing, as Jasna is a well-known fishing area. Of course, only fly-fishing is allowed.
The Kneipp Path
The Kneipp Path is located near the lake and is intended for hikers who want a relaxing foot massage after a tiring walk. The circular Kneipp path is made of stones with cold mountain water running over them. Walking through the alternating cold-hot baths has positive effects on health and general well-being. Walking in cold water is known to revitalise the body, help strengthen the immune system and relieve the effects of stress. Massaging your feet with stones of different sizes will help you relax, affect the intervertebral discs and balance blood pressure.

Lake Jasna is a true jewel among Slovenian lakes, surrounded by mighty mountains and offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
