Srednji Vrh is located to the north of Gozd Martuljek. The area around Srednji Vrh is steep mountain pastures, which in the past were grazed by Carinthian shepherds. The village offers one of the most beautiful views of the northern part of the Julian Alps, the Martuljek mountain chain, as well as Mojstrovka, Jalovec and the more distant Karavanke Stol. Srednji Vrh is the starting point of a hiking trail to the border mountain Trupejevo poldne, where the sun only shines at midday.
Several picturesque trails lead to the village from Kranjska Gora.
- Srednji Vrh can be reached via Čičare. The trail winds along the Sava River and past the sports park through the forest. After a few kilometres, you reach your final destination, Srednji Vrh, along a narrow, well-maintained path.
- The second route to Srednji Vrh leads you from Kranjska Gora to Galerše and onwards via Robe to Srednji Vrh. Cross the Sava River on a dirt track and continue uphill towards Galerše. The trail continues past the log at Galerše. When the wide path ends, you will see a narrow, steeper path to the left of the cattle fence, which you follow towards Srednji Vrh.
A detailed description of both paths and many others can be found on the map available in the Tourist info centre Kranjska Gora.
