We set off into the longest valley beneath Triglav from Mojstrana, which we reach by cycling the well-known route along the former railway line connecting Kranjska Gora and Jesenice. In Mojstrana we turn towards Zgornja Radovna, and if we feel fit enough all the way to Bled. But all the time it’s important to keep in mind that we’ll need to get back to our starting point – so plan the trip with that in mind. We can shorten the journey by starting our ride from Mojstrana.
After climbing up to the Kosmačev preval pass, a road branches off to the right into the Kot Valley, but this trail only runs through the forest. We continue over the pass, where a road turns left into the Radovna Valley, which we can follow all the way to Bled. A few scattered farms mark the area of Zgornja Radovna, through which we can later make our return journey. We continue past the Psnak homestead, and at the next crossroads we turn right toward the Krma Valley, while the road to Bled is on our left. Continuing our way toward Krma, the road winds between mountain walls. Just like in the Vrata Valley, we can’t cycle all the way to the very end of the valley, so our destination is a bit earlier, at the Zasipska planina alpine pasture, where a mountain hut offers refreshments to hikers setting off into the mountains along this trail.
