Slemen's Spit (Slemenova špica)

Due to its easy accessibility, Slemen’s Spit is becoming increasingly popular among visitors to Kranjska Gora. The trip is also suitable for families. The starting point is the top of Vršič, where the trail begins to climb steeply until you reach the crossroads for Mala Mojstrovka. The trail to Sleme then descends and continues through forest and heath. Just below the summit you will find a large grassy lookout point where you can admire the nearby peaks of Jalovec, Mojstrovka and Ponce. From the very top of Sleme, you can see the view to the valley below Ponce – Planica and the surrounding peaks above the Tamar valley.

Visiting Slemen’s Spit is especially beautiful in autumn, when the larches glow their beautiful golden yellow colour.
