In 1924, the theologians of the Ljubljana Archdiocese built a small living log cabin in Jasenje above Gozd Martuljek for their holiday, and two years later a chapel. Today, religious ceremonies, which take place in August during the time of Veliki Šmarn, are attended mainly by locals, and visitors to the Martuljek waterfalls are also welcome! Next to the chapel, see the memorial to all domestic and foreign mountaineers injured in the Špik group.
