From Mojstrana to the Peričnik Waterfall

The trail leads you along a sparkling river and past information boards with interesting sights.

We set off from the Slovenian Alpine Museum in Mojstrana. After the museum, we cross the bridge over the Triglavska Bistrica River and turn right after the bridge. We follow the river past the green bridge, where the asphalt road turns into a gravel road. The path then narrows. We follow the forest path and the riverbed, with the river flowing on our right, for about 10 minutes. At the crossroads, we can choose to continue toward Ros and the Peričnik Waterfall, or take the left Trail No. 15 to Lake Kreda. After visiting the lake, we descend via the other trail back toward Ros, where we cross the bridge to the main road. We walk about 300 metres along the main road to the crossroads, where we can either continue along the main national road toward the Vrata Valley or take a walk along the left bank of the Triglavska Bistrica River. After a few kilometres, we reach the 52-metre-high Lower Peričnik Waterfall. The waterfall is visible from the road, and a short path takes us right to it in just a few minutes – we can even walk behind it. We can also climb to the Upper Peričnik Waterfall, which is 16 metres high.
