Via ferrata Mojstrana

Above the pretty village of Mojstrana, in the Grančišče foothills.

Above the pretty village of Mojstrana there are two attractive protected routes – ferratas, which give you new experiences in the rock kingdom. You can choose between two different ferratas, of different difficulty levels. Between them is a route that is suitable for beginners in the rock world!

  1. The first ferrata (Aljaž’s path) is easier and is classified as difficulty B. It is 300 m long and suitable for those who are still getting used to the rocky world.

  2. The second ferrata (the path of the Mojstrana Squirrels) is more difficult and classified C/D, 250 m long, suitable for those who already have some experience in this sport. The ferrata requires knowledge and physical strength.

Both ferratas will take you to the top of Grančišče, where you will have a beautiful view of the nearby Julian Alps and the Karavanke Mountains! The way down follows a signposted footpath, almost to the starting point.

A real pleasure in the rock world!

Parking: at the Slovenian Alpine Museum

The protected route is CLOSED from 31 October to 1 April.
