Juliana Trail

At a respectful distance and in the foothills of the Mountains, the route will take you along the edge of the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park.

You won’t climb any mountain peaks on the JULIANA TRAIL. At a respectful distance and in the foothills of the eye-peaks, the trail will lead you along the edge of the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. It will take you to where you will feel the true pulse of life in the Julian Alps and discover the rich natural and cultural heritage of this wonderfully stunning mountain world with its immense biotic wealth.

To search, to walk, to discover and experience the unknown otherness, to offer and benefit from what others do not have; this is the path we invite you to take, turning our attention back to the originality and simplicity of life. This is the path of a personal pilgrimage to ourselves, to primitive nature and its miraculous beauty, to landscape and biodiversity, to hidden and unknown meditation opportunities and places of magical power. It will lead you along clear rivers, lakes, waterfalls, singing forests, remarkable trees hanging from overhangs or gazing up at the sky, among colourful meadow and mountain flowers, among rocks of unusual shapes and countless pearls like dew-dappled pearls.

The route will surprise you with its peculiarities and unique culinary, cultural, settlement and historical features. In this sense, the Julian Alps have a rich treasure trove of untapped potential. Where it’s so beautiful that your breath catches when you are treated to scenes that are just for you! Where we prove to you that we have not forgotten and we have preserved nature for everyone.
for all of you who go in search, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist mountain trails. The new route will not challenge you to heroic summits, but to the personal challenge of finding your own role in relation to nature and responsible tourism.

The Juliana Trail is looking for heroes of a different kind – one with a spiritual progression rather than a high-altitude one.
