The answers to the above questions are hidden in a new interactive AR experience full of games, fun challenges and modern technologies. It offers a unique insight into the achievements, milestones, facilities and people who have contributed to the development of the valley under the Ponce.
Heroes of Planica is a tribute to all those who have created (and continue to create) the story of Planica. They offer an unforgettable experience for all those who want to explore and discover this unique destination in a new and exciting way.
How does the game work?
The game takes place throughout the entire Planica area and, like a geo-location game of discovering heroes, stops at the most attractive points.
1. Purchase a ticket
By purchasing a ticket at the Nordic Centre Planica reception, you will receive a unique code to enter the app.
2. Start the game
The app guides you to six different points around Planica. At these points, you will learn about six central stories that represent:
important historical milestones that have shaped Planica,
people who have had an important influence on the development of the landscape,
the buildings that make up the Nordic Centre,
the tasks carried out by the different stakeholders,
the rich natural and cultural heritage that surrounds the area.
3. An outstanding attraction
The game also takes you on a spectacular chairlift ride to the very top of the Planica flying hill, where the grand finale of the game takes place.
4. A mysterious ending
At the end, you’ll have to use all the knowledge (and badges!) you’ve accumulated in the game to unlock the finale. What exactly happens at the end will remain a mystery, because it will make exploring Planica more fun.
