Cycling route to the Lakes Fusine

A route to scenic views of the surrounding peaks and green-blue lakes.

The first part of the cycling trail to the Lakes Fusine is part of the well-known Jure Robič Cycling Trail. You can start your cycling trip in Kranjska Gora or Mojstrana. From Kranjska Gora, the cycle path leads you along a former disused railway line to the border crossing in Rateče. The cycle path leads you past the slopes of the ski resorts to the Zelenci Natural Reserve on the right and on to the Planica Valley with Tamar on the left. After a kilometre or so, at the crossroads, turn right onto the path that leads you through the forest to the first lake (Laghi di Fusine). The first lake is reached by a fairly steep incline, while the path to the second lake descends slightly. From here you can continue to the Zacchi mountain hut or just relax by the lake and enjoy the view of the surrounding peaks and the green-blue lakes.

A detailed description of the cycling route to the Lakes Fusine can be found in the cycling map, which you can buy at the Kranjska Gora Tourist Information Centre.
