The most wonderful time of the year is approaching. Kranjska Gora will put on its beautiful festive look with decorated streets and a traditional Alpine Village in the centre of Kranjska Gora. The traditional lighting of the festive lights and the official opening of the Alpine Village will take place this year on Saturday, 29 November 2025 at 19:00. You are invited to the Alpine Village, where all the stalls will be filled with the smell of Christmas. You will not only be warmed by warm drinks, but also by pleasant music – Vzrock band will be performing.
At the same time, Saturday will also be dedicated to children, as there will be parallel workshops for our youngest children, who will have the opportunity to write their wishes and a letter to Santa Claus in a cosy Christmas atmosphere. The children will be entertained by elves who will help Santa collect the letters. We will create a mini Santa’s workshop in Ljudski dom where children can create, draw and design their own letter. A magical December will be even more beautiful than usual with Saturday concerts by popular Slovenian musicians and bands. And when you visit the Alpine Village cottages, you will be able to buy gifts for your loved ones and support local craftsmen, artists and suppliers.
