So many “parkeljni” from all sorts of places you have never seen. An increasingly popular event, named by organizers Fire spectacle in Podkoren, already became a real festival. In Podkoren, you will experience a terrifying parade of different groups of “parkeljni” coming from three countries.
The “parkeljni” are mythical creatures, terrifying black men, going from house to house frightening children. It originates from pagan times, when these evil spirits became companions and helpers of St. Nicholas: in accordance with Christian values, the saint rewarded the good children, and “parkeljni” (Krampus) frightened the naughty ones.
On the last Friday in November, 28 November, Podkoren will be filled with mystical energy when the traditional gathering of The Hike od the Parkeljni (Krampus) will take place. 20 groups and more than 500 Krampus– this time including groups you have never seen before – will create an eerie and spectacular scene that will take your breath away.
A fiery opening will kick off the event in style – but what exactly will happen will remain a mystery for now. Get ready for an unforgettable experience that will both enchant you and remind you of the power of ancient traditions.

This year, the afterparty will not take place in the Vitranc Hall, as we have been accustomed to until now, but outdoors – at the same venue in Podkoren under the Linden Tree, where the Fire Spectacle will also take place. The legendary ŠANK ROCK, one of Slovenia’s most recognizable rock bands, known for timeless hits such as Pravljica o mavričnih ljudeh, Metulj, and many more, will provide real rock energy and unforgettable entertainment. With their distinctive sound and energetic performance, they will ensure that we end the evening in style.

TICKETS
The price of a single ticket, which includes the Hike of Krampus and the Šank Rock concert, is 7 EUR. Children up to 11.99 years of age have free entry to the venue.
Tickets are available at all Eventim outlets and at the Kranjska Gora Tourist Information Centre (Kolodvorska ulica 1c, 4280 Kranjska Gora). On the day of the event, tickets will also be available at the entrance points to the venue in Podkoren.
TRAFFIC REGIME AND ENTRY POINTS
A temporary traffic regime will be in force during the event. Several free parking spaces will be available for visitors. A free shuttle bus service will also be available to take visitors from the Kranjska Gora Police Station to the entry point to the venue.
There will be three entry points where tickets can be purchased and entry to the venue will be possible.
