Family trekking in Pakistan, travel lecture, 24 January 2025 at 6 pm
Matjaž Jeran, Slovenian mountaineer and mountain guide, will take us to the magical north of Pakistan, where he and his family went trekking in the summer.
He writes about the trip as follows: “For a family holiday, we’re looking for a break and a view. Over the years, one learns and, as in other areas of life, less is more – four backpacks, light and fast, in a self-directed 23 days of trekking and exploring northern Pakistan. Pakistan is the centre of civilisations, honestly and without puffery. A country that enchants us. We will carry the people in our hearts forever, dream of the wildest hills of this world, sing of the fertile fields of fluttering ears of corn, adore the delicious food everywhere, be part of the colourful bazaars of proud peoples and ten languages.”
