You are cordially invited to the Slovenian Alpine Museum on Friday, 16 May 2025, at 7 pm for a special museum evening in the company of the participants of the legendary Cordillera Blanco expedition in 1975!
Together, we will use photographs and film footage to bring back memories of a small Yugoslav mountaineering expedition by members of the Academic Mountaineering Society, which left an indelible mark – and, unfortunately, a tragic story. You will hear stories about the first attempts to climb Chacraraja Este, the approaches to Chopicalqui and Pisco, and the courage and friendship that bind peaks and people.
On this occasion, the photographic exhibition of the Ice Giants or Inaccessible Beauties expedition will be open on the staircase of the museum until the beginning of August.
