In a recent publication, the Michelin Guide highlighted two superb local culinary gems in the heart of the Triglav National Park – including the Triangel Boutique Hotel in Gozd Martuljek, renowned for its superb gastronomy and respect for the traditions of Gorenjska region.
Led by Chef Jon Zupan, Triangel combines a modern approach to traditional cuisine, focusing on the use of local ingredients and forgotten recipes, which he has also researched in collaboration with renowned chef Uroš Štefelin. Among the typical dishes on offer are Mavželj, made from prime pork with potatoes, truffles and Mohant cheese, and the traditional dishes Zgornjesavski Esihflaš (beef salad) and Veal Stew.
In the spirit of sustainable development and respect for local heritage, Triangel uses dairy products from local farms, organic meat, fish from Lake Bohinj and fruit and vegetables from the surrounding area. There is also a special emphasis on the selected wine list, which includes the best Slovenian wines.
In addition to superb culinary experiences, the Triangel Boutique Hotel, with its exceptional location at the foot of the Martuljek Mountain Group, offers the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of Kranjska Gora and the surrounding area. The Michelin Guide recognises Triangel as a destination that combines comfort, first-class cuisine and unforgettable experiences surrounded by nature.
