Parking and stopping of caravans in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora

During the World Nordic Nordic Championships Planica 2023, which will take place between 21.02. and 05.03.2023, parking and stopping of caravans / campers will be prohibited in all parking lots in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora by municipal decree, except for the camp Špik in Gozd Martuljko. Visitors are advised to check the occupancy status of the campsite beforehand. A free bus will also run between Mojstrana and Kranjska Gora during the Championships, stopping at the bus stop in Gozd Martuljko (Zgornje Rute), which is close to the Špik campsite. For visitors with a ticket or accreditation who are staying in Kranjska Gora and the surrounding area during the World Championships, a free shuttle bus service is available from Kranjska Gora (parking lot in front of PP Kranjska Gora) to the entry point to the venue from 22 to 26 February and from 28 February to 5 March. The buses will run in a circular route from 30 minutes before the opening of the venue in Planica and up to 30 minutes after the closing of the venue in Planica, from approx. 9.00 to 21.00, without timetable. The Rateče bus station will also be accessible by regular bus service. The entry points for the shuttle bus service are located in Kranjska Gora, Podkoren and Rateče.

Modified parking regime during the Planica 2023 Nordic World Championships

During the Nordic World Championships from 20.2.2023 to 5.3.2023, the following car parks will be subject to changes:

Rateče

Ledine – complete closure of the car park 20.2. – 5.3.
Border – shared parking (until full, possibility of parking for runners)
Kranjska Gora

For the Police – full closure of the car park 20.2. – 5.3. and changed regime
Lift 1 and Lift 2 – parking lots will be reserved for skiers with private vehicles only during the World Ski Championships.
Pišnica – full closure of the car park 20.2. – 5.3. and modified regime.
Borovška – full closure of the car park from 19.02. to 05.03. from the Ramada Resort Hotel to Mercator store.
Please be patient and strictly follow the instructions of the traffic police.

Closure of Borovška cesta

The road closure will be in place from 16:30 to 24:00 every day during the championship. The closure will take place between the Mercator shop and the Bor pub. The part from Mercator to the junction with Dr Josip Tičar Street will be closed only on both Saturdays, if there are a lot of visitors.

During the closure, access to the Prisank car park will be possible via Koroška Street (past the Health Centre and the primary school). Access to all hotel and private car parks should also be possible. However, guests are reminded not to drive during this time unless it is absolutely necessary.
