We are pleased to announce that the project Connecting Brands in the LAS Zgornja Gorenjska – BOJA Area has been successfully selected in a public call for projects within the Local Development Strategy of the Local Action Group LAS Zgornja Gorenjska – BOJA. The project will receive non-repayable funds of up to 148.628.79 EUR for the implementation of key activities that will contribute to greater visibility and connectivity of local providers and the development of sustainable entrepreneurship in the Upper Gorenjska region.
The official applicant for the project is Bohinj Tourist Board, and the project also includes the collective brands of the participating destinations: Kranjska Gora Finest, From Bohinj, Bled – local selection, and Taste Radol’ca. Together, we are addressing the challenges of fragmented local offerings, limited marketing and recognition of local products, and weak cooperation between tourism stakeholders.
The project will be implemented in two phases. Key activities include professional workshops for providers, on-site and remote consulting, and the establishment of a new level of certification – Center of Culture. Three levels of certification will be implemented for different provider profiles. The aim of the activities is to increase the competence of providers, expand the brand, and create a joint market presence. The project will conclude with two promotional events — ceremonial certificate award ceremonies, which will provide an opportunity for networking, community building, and public presentation of the project results.
After the co-financing ends, the project will be taken over by Kranjska Gora Tourist Board, which will take care of further brand development, promotion, the inclusion of new providers, and the sustainable management of already established content. The focus will be on local materials, shorter supply chains, the use of environmentally friendly packaging, and respect for cultural heritage.
The project will contribute to a better quality of life for the local population and the preservation of knowledge and traditions, while also offering visitors an authentic experience with local character.
