In mid-December, a short documentary about Slovenia was released. The documentary presents Slovenia as a developed country in the field of nature protection and conservation. The world is facing many problems due to climate change, but the people of Slovenia are making a real effort to take care of their country and preserve it as best as possible for future generations.
As mentioned above, Slovenia is the focus of a remarkable video project that showcases the richness of its natural and cultural heritage and the everyday stories of its people. The documentary features places across Slovenia, including Kranjska Gora.
Jasna Chalet Resort – a sustainable revitalisation project
The documentary also presents the Jasna Chalet Resort sustainable revitalisation project, where a case study on how to develop a sustainable tourism product was developed in cooperation with the relevant ministry and the local community. The sustainable vision of Jasna Chalet Resort covers four areas – management, supply chains, environment and community. Today, sustainable activities aim to reduce negative environmental impacts, using local ingredients and natural materials, a minimal carbon footprint, efficient use of energy resources and responsible waste management.
Kranjska Gora as an Alpine climate resort
The documentary highlights the sustainable activities of the Kranjska Gora destination, with a special focus on the Alpine SPA project. In 2021, the Kranjska Gora destination hosted a research team to study the positive effects of the forest on visitors. The research showed that visitors staying in Kranjska Gora for several days has been scientifically proven to lower stress hormones, calm restless spirits and generally have a beneficial effect on their health*.
