Trail Around Peričnik Waterfall Remains Closed Due to Safety Concerns
The trail around Peričnik Waterfall has been closed since last November due to safety risks for visitors. The path remains dangerous, primarily due to the risk of slipping.
A recent inspection revealed that urgent repairs are needed on the most eroded sections, especially on the part of the trail behind the waterfall. The Triglav National Park is already planning the restoration work, which will begin as soon as weather conditions allow.
Trail closures are clearly marked on-site, in hiking apps such as Slovenia Outdoor, and on the park’s website map. Visitors are urged to respect the closure until further notice. In the meantime, the safest way to admire Peričnik Waterfall is from the road through the Vrata Valley.
