Ljubljana hosts the Conventa business exchange, which is dedicated to business meetings, congresses and incentive trips. This year, the main professional event of the business meetings industry in this part of Europe brings together 130 exhibitors and 180 selected guests from 34 countries.
Last night, one of the highlights of Conventa took place in Ljubljana’s Cankarjev dom, where the Meeting Star Awards were presented to the best congress destinations, venues and individuals. Awards are as important in the world of the meetings industry as Oscars in the film world or Michelin stars in the culinary world. The award and the certificate are highly respected among event organisers, as they are awarded on the basis of carefully crafted criteria and standards. The judges assess the quality of the destinations on the basis of the Meeting Experience Index matrix, which includes 75 evaluation criteria. Hotels and venues are evaluated on the basis of the visit of the Hidden Convention Guest, who rates the hotel and convention centre on 654 criteria.
Kranjska Gora was named the Best Congress Destination 2025 in the S Destination category.

The nominees included not only Kranjska Gora, but also Triangel Boutique Hotel in the “Best Boutique Meeting Hotels” category.
The award and the nominations show that Kranjska Gora has positioned itself well on the map of European incentive destinations.
