Between 13 and 14 May 2025, Tourist Board Kranjska Gora took part in the main business event of Slovenian tourism – the Slovenian Incoming Workshop (SIW), which this year took place in the picturesque town of Rogaška Slatina. The event was attended by 144 foreign tour operators and travel agencies from 27 countries, which means that SIW remains the most important business event for Slovenian tourism.
Destination Kranjska Gora was represented by two representatives of Tourist Board Kranjska Gora, who held more than 30 meetings. In addition to a general presentation of the destination, the representatives were joined by other key partners from the destination: Hit Alpinea, Kosobrin House and cabin log, Triangel Boutique Hotel and Hotel Špik. Together, through pre-arranged meetings, they presented to foreign tour operators and agents the wide range of experiences Kranjska Gora has to offer – in all seasons.
Study tours highlighting the various products of Slovenian tourism are also of key importance. This year, Slovenian Incoming Workshop participants could choose between three study tours focusing on different products: active holidays, wellness and culture.
Kranjska Gora had the honour to welcome as host the participants of the post-SIW press trip, focusing on active leisure activities. More than 30 guests from more than 15 countries visited our destination after the close of the exchange and experienced first-hand the variety of activities on offer under the mighty peaks of the Julian Alps.
The press trip started with a rainy but warm welcome and dinner at Lake Jasna in the cosy surroundings of the Jasna Chalet Resort. We socialised with the participants over delicious dinner and forged new business ties. After a pleasant and hospitable evening, the participants spent the night at the Ramada Resort Kranjska Gora, where the next morning they were greeted by sunshine and fresh mountain air – an ideal start to a day that promised to be an active exploration of our Alpine valley.
Despite the initially capricious weather, Kranjska Gora showed its sunny side to the participants, which made it possible to carry out all the planned activities. One group rented e-bikes from Intersport Bernik and rode them along the cycling track towards the Planica valley, made a scenic stop at Zelenci and finished the morning programme with an adrenaline zipline descent from the flying hill at the Planica Nordic Centre. Meanwhile, the second group headed to the mountain village of Mojstrana, where they climbed the Mojstrana Ferrata under the guidance of experienced Kofler Sport guides and enjoyed the views from a different perspective.
Kranjska Gora is proud to have had the opportunity to host such a diverse and enthusiastic team of international tourism experts and to show them a piece of the stories our Alpine destination has to offer. We believe that together we have created new partnerships and strengthened ties for future collaborations that will take our destination even further into the world.
