On Friday, October 17, 2025, the expert commission evaluated the bid for TKBZ Kranjska Gora Finest and awarded 26 new certificates.
In the category of Crops and food products, newly registered products (jams and dried fruit) received excellent ratings for their sensory properties. The expert commission rejected one product, namely apple jam. In the Handicrafts category, the committee welcomed the Mojca and Kekec puppets, which significantly complement the range of puppets available in Slovenia. Certificates were awarded for wooden jewelry featuring motifs that reflect the environment in which they are made. In the Guided Experiences category, the committee evaluated Tonka’s workshops, which have been successfully run by the Julijana Agency for the third year in a row, and awarded a certificate.
In the category of Food and Beverages Served in a Catering Manner, the registered dishes of PD Dovje-Mojstrana, created by the cooks at Aljažev dom in Vrata and named Triglavski žepki, were awarded a certificate. In the JP category, the dishes trout tartare with lemon sauce and yellow polenta from the Klepec organic farm, submitted by Jasna Natur Resort, received a positive opinion from the evaluators. Both dishes obtained the certificate for the first time. The recertification of breakfast at Jasna Natur Resort in the category of food and beverages served in a catering manner was positively assessed. In the category of accommodation capacities, the commission initiated the process of obtaining a certificate for the Ramada Resort Hotel. The applicant gave an extremely convincing presentation of the hotel, which still needs to be renovated. The certificate will be awarded once the provider invites the commission to visit for a final assessment. The commission is looking forward to this invitation, as the applicant has convinced them with all their arguments. The recertification of the Jasna Resort in the Accommodation Capacity category was positive, and the certificate will be reissued. All handicrafts, agricultural products, and food products that were re-evaluated have been recertified.
At the end of the evaluation, the expert commission issued a statement saying that it was extremely satisfied with the results of this evaluation for obtaining the right to use TKBZ Kranjska Gora Fienst. Special praise goes to coordinator Mojca Mežek for her excellent organization of the schedule and implementation of the evaluation.
We sincerely congratulate all providers who have received certificates!
