For the second time in May, Kranjska Gora and thus Slovenia will host the world’s most famous hurdles race, whose ambassador is the world champion in this sport and probably one of the most interesting Slovenians, Rea Kolbl.
The start and finish will be set at the end of the ski slopes, where we will cheer together for the brave competitors. Obstacle courses will run from the ski resorts of Kranjska Gora to the queen of all ski jumps – Planica. The program will also be enriched by a fun zone full of entertainment and animations. For one weekend, Kranjska Gora will turn into a real little Sparta, and there will be no lack of real Spartan fun, when we will relax together with rock music rhythms.
Spartan is one of the world’s most famous sports brands and an iconic format of obstacle course races, hosted by the most attractive destinations in the world, and is also famous for the high quality of its organization. With over 200 competitions a year, it is one of the largest sports movements and a community of competitors, united by a passion for movement, new challenges and pushing its own boundaries. All this will be combined in an attractive form by the event of this prestigious series in Slovenia, which will also offer one of the most attractive routes for the competition – behind the scenes of the Triglav National Park.
EVEN MORE DIVERSE, ATTRACTIVE AND COMPETITIVE
For this year’s performance, the organizers of the Slovenian competition, in cooperation with the owners of the series, have created a classic format of the competition, which will include three different routes called Trifecta weekend. This makes the competition suitable for all ages and fitness levels. You will be able to compete on the following routes:
- Sprint (5 kilometres and 20 obstacles)
- Super (10 kilometres and 25 obstacles)
- Beast (21 kilometres and 30 obstacles)
With the expanded format, the competition will offer all professional and recreational participants a real dose of adrenaline, competition and fun. There will also be a Kids Race.
Spartan Race Slovenia will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 21 and 22 May 2022, in Kranjska Gora.
