At the end of May, the valley below Ponce will once again host a World Series race – SPARTAN TRIFECTA WEEKEND brings fun for the whole family and recreation for lovers of jogging and quality leisure time, and in the backdrop of the Triglav National Park, professional runners, headed by the Queen of Spartan, the Slovenian champion Rea Kolbl, will also compete.

Spartan returns to Kranjska Gora in a big way, with the second Trifecta Weekend in Slovenia. Spartan is not just a race, it’s an experience. You can choose between Sprint, Super or Beast, or conquer all these disciplines in one Trifecta weekend. And get your kids involved in the Kids Race.
This event is a Trifecta Weekend, allowing competitors to complete the Trifecta (Sprint 5K, Super 10K and Beast 21K) in one weekend and qualify for the 2023 Trifecta World Championships in Sparta, Greece.
On 20 and 21 May this year, Kranjska Gora will host the Spartan Trifecta Weekend – with three difficulty levels for all levels of runners, a bonus challenge for the youngest runners and lots of fun activities for fans and event visitors.
Obstacle course races (OCR) or ‘obstacleathlons’ are one of the fastest growing sports disciplines in the world, and are already knocking on the door of the Olympic family. Although Spartan Race has also become a serious professional sport in recent years, with competitions all over the world and a world championship for which only the best qualify, obstacle races are above all a great diversion for recreational running training and fun for the whole family or a group of friends. With a variety of courses and difficulty groups, there is a challenge for practically everyone, but it’s all about fun, pushing yourself and having an unforgettable experience.
Rea Kolbl, an almost unbeatable competitor in classic and extreme distances, also brought obstacle races closer to Slovenians. She will be competing in Kranjska Gora in the elite class, where she is looking forward to running on the back of the mountain giantess in the Beast distance, but invites everyone to try at least the open class at the shortest distance to get to know this wonderful sport that combines running, strength training and agility.
