START AND FINISH

The competitors will start the race in a bunch start from the starting point below the Kranjska Gora ski slopes. The initial “warm-up” will take place on the main road towards Ljubljana, past Kranjska Gora to the junction at TGC Kranjska Gora and then along the Vršiška Road to Hotel Kranjska Gora, where the flying start of the competition with the start of timing will take place.

The start in Kranjska Gora is at an altitude of 810 metres and the finish at the top of the Vršič Pass, at an altitude of 1,611 metres. The course is 13.5 kilometres long with an elevation gain of 801 metres, a maximum gradient of 10.8% and an average gradient of 7.25%.

The timing will be done with electronic chips, which will be collected from the “Ramada & Suite Resort Kranjska Gora” (ex Hotel Prisank) in the centre of Kranjska Gora on the day of the event between 8:00 and 10:30 am. Gross times will be taken into account for the final classification. The gross time is the sum of the net time (measured time from the start to the finish) and the time gap behind the winner.
