The iconic model, which was in production between 1965 and 1985, as well as the new Pony Classic models without gears. 20 inch wheels, no carbon add-ons and a crankset length of no more than 180 mm. These are just some of the criteria that the bike has to tick off.
Only 20 inch wheels are allowed.
No gears, no drive motors.
The bike must have at least a working rear brake.
No carbon additives.
No changes to the size of the gears on the bike and therefore the drive ratio of the bike.
The maximum crank length is 180 mm.
Retro is imperial
The legendary Pony comes with a retro outfit! What does it look like? Those spiders you found in your mother-in-law’s wardrobe? Great! A T-shirt that hasn’t been available in a shop for 40 years? Great! Do the pieces have to fit together to make a nice whole? There’s no other way, because we’re choosing the best retro outfit again this year!
Between 14.30 and 18.00, the road between Kranjska Gora and the Vršič Pass is completely closed to all vehicles. All fans must go to the summit or to the parking lots along the road before the closure.
