Sports and adventure weekend in the villages under Triglav
The biggest outdoor festival under the Triglav is back – this time for the fourth time and again in a three-day format. The weekend full of activities and related content will now traditionally take place in the second half of June. You can join us in guided groups for various activities organised by Kofler Sport, you can stroll among the stalls with a wide variety of offers, and there are various children’s animations and activities for the youngest ones. And to make sure you don’t go hungry, we’ve also got a culinary twist. On Saturday, we will be able to enjoy the enrichment of two concerts.
This time, the theme of the festival will be base camp. At the opening lecture we will hear a little more about life in base camps, and on Saturday there will be themed workshops.
Hikers, climbers, cyclists, ferry enthusiasts and all those who like to be active and enjoy good company – welcome to the village under Triglav.

Base Camp lecture
This year’s theme of the Mojstrana Outdoor Festival is Base Camp. That’s why we’ve brought together legendary names in mountaineering to tell their stories. How they experienced base camp, what life was like there and what they did to pass the time while they were waiting impatiently for the right conditions to climb.
This year’s festival will be opened by three outstanding individuals who will share their views on base camp:
Janez Dovžan: Legendary mountaineer and member of the Mojstranská squirrels group, known for his remarkable ascents, including the 1975 conquest of Makalu, the first Slovenian eight-thousanders peak.
Aleš Česen: Top alpinist and mountain guide with an IFMGA international licence, recipient of two prestigious Golden Cepin awards for the ascents of Hagshu and Latok I.
Rožle Bregar: Multi-award-winning filmmaker and director, known for creating documentaries in extreme conditions that encourage viewers to be responsible towards nature.
Together they will shed light on different aspects of life and work in base camp and share their unique experiences.
The lecture will take place in the hall of the Slovenian Alpine Museum.
