You are invited to the opening of the temporary exhibition Korošci climbing on Friday, 15 September at 6 pm at the Slovenian Alpine Museum.
The temporary exhibition of the Koroška Regional Museum – Korošci climbing is an overview exhibition of organised mountaineering activities in Koroška over 85 years. The Prevalje Alpine Section (AO), founded in 1937, was one of the first AOs in Slovenia. At that time, only Ljubljana, Maribor and Celje AOs were still active. Over the years, especially in the post-war period, sections were established in other places in Carinthia: in 1948 in Mežice and in 1954 also in Ravne na Koroškem.
The exhibition will be opened in the company of Andrej Gradišnik, a Koroška mountaineer who reached the summit of Mount Everest this year.
You are cordially invited!
