Photography has been with me since I was a little girl. At first I mostly took photos on trips and travels, recording the pulse of cities and catching the sights. Later on, my photographic path even led me to photography school, where I made friends with more “artistic” – original photography. I am fascinated by photographs of various landscapes, especially the simple, everyday, and most often humorous, glimpses of life. I like to work in b&w, but also in colour, I like to work with blurred photography, I play with composition – a kind of drawing with the camera. Sometimes I flirt with analogue techniques, other times with the phone or studio camera.
Nowadays, my photographs are still taken on trips or in the garden at home, walking the dog, but most often accompanied by boredom and imagination. It’s important to keep something going and experiment, mistakes are always welcome, and sometimes something “grows”.
The exhibition entitled Slowing down is a series of three photographs where I return to boredom and imagination, where I stop and rest while the world rushes by and society dictates a heavy pace.
Why is idleness healthy and idleness useful?
