A musical concert of Netherlands Twents Jeugd Symfonie Orkest as part of the Summer under Vitranc events will take place on Friday, 19 July from 8:30 pm onwards on the square in front of the church in Kranjska Gora.
ABOUT ORCHESTRA:
The orchestra started in the mid-1990s as a joint project orchestra of the Hengelo Music School, the Enschede Music School and the Almelo Music School.
In 2008, the current conductor, Carl Wittrock, was appointed. The orchestra has participated in various competitions and festivals over the years, e.g: The Helikon Festival in Hungary, the European Music Festivals in Barcelona and Budapest and the International Youth Festival in Florence. In addition, the orchestra has participated several times in the national competition for youth symphony orchestras.
The orchestra aims to organise a concert tour every two years. In 2011 and 2015 the orchestra visited Italy and in 2013 Kiev. Other foreign tours and exchanges have taken place to Hungary, France, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Egypt and Slovenia, among others.
