We invite you to a museum evening with Natalija Gros Kunaver and a screening of the movie Magnesium and Chocolate, which will take place on Friday, 20 October at 6 pm at the Slovenian Alpine Museum.
You are invited to a museum evening where the author Saša Mesec will talk to the sport climber Natalija Gros Kunaver at the presentation of the catalogue at the end of the exhibition on sport climbing By Fingers in the Walls.
Natalija Gros Kunaver, three times Junior World Champion in difficulty (1999, 2000 and 2002) and overall World Cup Combined Champion (2007), European overall champion in combined and bouldering (2008) and two-time winner of the prestigious international competition in Serre Chevalier, she has stood on the podium 23 times in her career in bouldering and difficult World Cup competitions and has achieved a number of other excellent results that have placed her in the very top of the sport climbing world. She has also made two documentary films (Chalk & Chocolate and New Dimension) directed by Jure Breceljnik and co-authored the book “With Head and Heart to the Top” by Martina Čufar and Aleš Jensterle.
The 2009 film Chalk & Chocolate will also be screened at the museum evening.
This documentary tells the personal story of a top athlete who experiences the ups and downs of a professional career. The story shows her climbing the Hysteria route with a high rating of 8c+ in a natural climbing area, with which Natalija attempts to set a new personal milestone.
