We are delighted to invite you to this year’s GoroVenture Festival, which will traditionally take place in the last week of February and the first weekend of March. This time, we will combine literature, mountaineering and other extreme sports through interesting events – a feast for all mountain lovers and inspirational stories!
We will open the festival with two evenings of mountain films in cooperation with the Bovec Outdoor Film Festival, where stories of breath-taking adventures will be told on the big screen.
Then we’ll move into more literary depths – in days full of reflection and inspiration, we’ll reflect intimately on life, mountains and inner strength together with Marija and Andrej Štremfelj and Alenka Klinar.
The highlight of the festival will be meeting the girls from the Lalung 2024 expedition, who will share with us the feelings, experiences and triumphs of conquering unconquered peaks. Their stories will take us straight into the heart of the Himalayas.

Presentation of the book A Night of Power is in the Light of the Stars, by Marija and Andrej Štremfelj, which describes the events, experiences and reflections of the Great Himalayan Trail they walked in 2023. It was a time when they were able to completely detach themselves from the daily routine of ordinary life, a time for reflection and a time to deepen their relationship.

In September 2024, Anja Petek, Patricija Verdev, Urša Kešar and Ana Baumgartner set off on an expedition to the vast and so far unexplored Indian Himalaya. In this lecture, the girls will reveal what it feels like to climb an unconquered peak, how to cope with the unexplored and difficult glacial terrain, and many other experiences with a foreign land, culture, people and animals.
