During the Nordic World Championships, concerts by local musicians and bands will take place as part of the Nordic Mile in the Alpine Village.
The band Panda has been around since 1986, more specifically since the spring of 1986, when they surprised the Slovenian public by winning the Pop Workshop with the song Lino. The line-up at that time, Suzana Jeklic – lead voice, Andrej Pompe – keyboards and backing vocals, Mark Čuček – guitar, Brane Vidan – bass and Dušan Zupančič – drums, marked Panda as an original, distinctive, independent, inventive Slovenian band that captured its moment in time and managed to keep it alive to this day by being insensitive to current trends. Panda doesn’t give up, although many bands would have done so long ago, given the turnover of female singers. Nina Bauman was the highest scorer in the 2012 competition, right after Sara. She joined Panda within a few days of the phone call and it turned out that she was more than a perfect match for Panda’s music.
