Walking the famous Slovenian Alpine Route, which starts in Maribor and runs through the Pohorje Mountains, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, the Karavanke Mountains, the Julian Alps and descends through the foothills to the Kras Mountains, ending at Debeli Rtič, is certainly a special adventure.
The trail is marked with the general designation of mountain trails in Slovenia – the Knafel marking and the added number 1, and is the longest and most popular bridleway in Slovenia. On the occasion of its 70th anniversary, the Slovenian Alpine Museum, together with the Slovenian Mountaineering Association, prepared an exhibition dedicated to the trail and the life and sights on and along it. You are welcome to join us at the opening of the exhibition on Saturday, 3 June 2023, at 8 pm.
In addition to the presentation and the exhibition, we will light a fire and sing Slovenian songs. The main speakers will be Miha Rebernik (vocals) and Klemen Smolej (guitar).
