Zipline Slovenia – Planica Zipline

The world's most spectacular Zipline!

The Planica Zipline is considered the steepest zipline in the world, as it follows the profile of the ski jump and replicates the sensations experienced by professional ski jumpers during flight. Experience the sensations of world legends who have descended the legendary giant and reached historic milestones. Your spectacular flight will be 566 m long, reaching speeds of up to 85 km/h in just a few seconds.

How does the experience work?

The Planica Zipline starts near the Planica Nordic Centre, where experienced instructors give short instructions. They will show you the progress of zipline descent, answer your questions and equip you with safety equipment. Then, in about 8 minutes, you take a chairlift to the top of the Gorišek Brothers flying hill – where the flights of the world’s best ski jumpers usually begin.

At the top, staff will make sure you are safely installed on the zipline, followed by an unforgettable descent down the zipline, most of which runs right next to the surface of the ski jumping hill. This gives you the feeling that you are “flying” above the ground, like a real ski jumper.

Who is the zipline for?

The Planica Zipline is suitable for both adults and children. The minimum height for zipline descent is 140 cm, and the maximum weight with all equipment must not exceed 120 kg. There is also a tandem zipline, where younger children (from 5 years of age and minimum height 120 cm) accompanied by an adult can experience the zipline.

Prices

The price for a solo zipline descent is 29 EUR. The price for a tandem zipline is 49 EUR.

Practical information

Planica Zipline is open from May until the start of the winter season. During the summer months, the zipline is open every day, but in general the opening hours depend on the weather conditions. Due to the high demand, advance booking is required and can be easily made online, by phone or by e-mail. For groups, it is possible to arrange operations outside the published opening hours.

The whole experience takes about 45 minutes, which includes preparation, instructions, the chairlift ride and the descent itself.

The Planica zipline gives you a completely new perspective of the Planica Valley and the surrounding peaks.
