Curling

Try yourself at this winter olympic sport!

Curling is a great way of combining recreation with socialising and achieving new goals. It is a team game played on ice, in which players pass their stones to the target on the other side of the ice rink. Due to its specific dynamics and extremely tactical way of playing, it is often called ice chess.

About curling at Planica

The ice curling track is located in the snow tunnel of the Planica Nordic Centre. The cross-country tunnel has real winter conditions from April to the end of autumn, as the indoor air temperature is around -2°C. The Slovenian curling team, which is preparing to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games, also trains on this curling track.

Try it yourself

The ice curling track at Planica is not only intended for competitors, you can also try your hand at it. Assemble a team (up to 8 people) and book your time slot. Your game will be led by the national team of the Slovenian Curling Association.
