The climb is already something special, as we are constantly rewarded with views of the Julian Alps. From the start, the route takes us through the picturesque Stan valley, past Podkoren and towards the Korensko sedlo. Shortly before it, turn right onto a forest road which leads us at a moderate gradient along the southern side of the western part of the Caravan ridge. The beautiful views of the Julian Alps, which open up behind Brvogami, where the TV tower stands, make the cycling go by quickly. All the time we are crossing the ravine-ridden slope and watching the grassy strips of the Kranjska Gora ski slopes climbing towards the top of the Vitranc. Shortly before the Jureževa mountain, we turn left, with only 10 minutes to go before the start of the descent.
The descent is a sheer pleasure, enjoyed by both good cyclists and those who find riding on such trails a challenge. Just as the name suggests (Twist), you will be pumping, leaning and twisting your way along the path as it slowly descends towards the pastures of the Robe. There are information boards on the route itself and at the entrances with rules of behaviour and warning signs, which will of course help you on your first descent. The trail ends at the Srnjak guesthouse in Galerše, where you can have a snack and share the experience with friends. The descent back to Kranjska Gora is on a dirt road.
