We are located in an environment that is suitable for lovers of various activities in nature. Welcome all lovers of cycling, rollerblading, running… in our immediate vicinity there is a bike path that is part of the European Cycling Transversal and thus connects our country with Austria and Italy. We are surrounded by hills, such as Tromeja (Peč – 1508 m above sea level) with a beautiful view of our valley, which is an ideal terrain for hikers. In winter, you can descend from the top of Tromeja by sled or even with touring skis.
In winter, a few hundred meters from our inn there are cross-country ski trails with a total length of 35 kilometers, where, among other things, it is possible to rent or buy cross-country equipment and learn at a cross-country ski school.
All skiers are also welcome! Five kilometers separates us from the Kranjska Gora ski center, three kilometers from Podkoren – from the world-famous Vitranc (the track where the World Cup is organized every year) and other ski slopes in Podkoren. You can teach your little ones to ski at the children’s ski resort in Planica or drive to Italy – to Tarvisio and spend a wonderful day at the Višarje ski resort (a good 20 km from us).
Of course, we can’t miss the world-famous Planica, where every year there is a competition for the World Cup in ski flying, and since the renovation of the Nordic Center in 2015, other events take place throughout the year (national and international competitions in jumping, cross-country skiing and Nordic combined, Oviratlon, Red Bull 400…). You can visit the Planiška Museum, try the wind tunnel and relive the feeling of flying, or feel the adrenaline on the cable car. Walkers or hikers can continue their journey from Planica to Tamar, also a well-known hiking spot with a mountain hut.
There are also the picturesque Belopeška lakes (4 km), which enchant everyone with their blue-green color and view of the magnificent Mangart (2679 m above sea level). Climbers probably don’t need to explain and list which two-thousanders still surround us.
