The unique cultural heritage with rooms with the story of Pr ‘Gavedarja is located in the idyllic village of Podkoren, the pearl of the Upper Sava Valley and the surroundings of Kranjska Gora. The rooms tell stories that have been flowing in the Gregori family for hundreds of years, and the house got a new look on its centenary, where we imprinted the story of cultural heritage in a unique design and adapted it to become useful and bearer of everything beautiful. modern elements for the unique comfort of guests.
The concept of the renovation of the Pr ‘Gavedarjo homestead combined two driving stories of the family: the preservation of cultural heritage and the environmental aspect through the use of natural materials, energy efficiency and minimal environmental impact where possible. The added furniture is made of solid Slovenian wood, treated only with waxing, lime paints are used, mattresses are made of cotton and natural latex, and bisachs and bedding boast organic (natural) and Fair trade (fair trade) certificates.
The stories are what make the Pr ‘Gavedarja homestead unique, as many have intertwined in its 100 years, the story of mother Marija and father Franc intertwine with the story of aunt Silva and servant Jaka from the past and the story of father Janez, the current owner of the homestead and great Karen environmentalist. Each room tells its own story, which is also complemented by selected equipment and textiles.
